Job title: Hotel Manager
Salary: £30,000
Working Hours per week: 37.5
Key responsibilities:
- Manging the day-to-day operation of the Hotel.
- Ensure that all brand standards, hotel standards and departmental procedures are adhered to and supported on a daily basis.
- Liaise on daily basis with reservations and attend weekly function meetings to discuss business and forthcoming events.
- Work closely with the senior staff members to decide on the range of services and room rates by the Hotel based on customer demand.
- Conducts daily briefings, and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results.
- Assists in keeping an updated Policies and Procedures file and up-dated files on all Hotel matters.
- Monitors local competitors and compare their operation with the services provided by the Hotel.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, systems, practices and equipment in food and beverage through trade literature, relevant show and site visits.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Develop your team to anticipate guest needs, act upon and follow up guest requests and deliver a level of service and responsiveness that generates compliments and high survey scores.
- Actively engage with guests to discuss special requirements, reasonable adjustments and complaints.
- Display a pro-active and innovative approach to skills development and standards enhancement with your team.
- Actively develop your team’s awareness of revenue capture and resolving posting errors and guest queries – in order to protect revenue.
- Oversee disciplinary procedures and all other relevant human resources practices e.g. sickness/absenteeism, staffing needs and training
- Support with initiative and commitment the overall objectives of the business in terms revenue, costs and team work – whilst developing your personal competency levels.
- Ensure that all relevant emergency procedures are in place and that all team members are familiar with these procedures, for example: fire evacuation procedure etc.
- Any other duty deemed necessary by to achieve targets and deliver a level of customer service, which will exceed the expectations of our guests.
Requirements:
- Degree in hospitality management preferred. Other equivalent/relevant vocational qualifications considered.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar establishment in a managerial position required.
