Job Advertisement: Housing Night Worker

Working Hours: 20:15 - 07:45
DBS Level: Enhanced Both
We are currently seeking a dedicated Housing Night Worker to join our team in Harlow on a 6-month temporary contract. As a Housing Night Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support to young people aged 16 to 17 years old at risk of homelessness, as well as care leavers aged 18 to 21.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment: Conduct initial assessments of potential or actual service users, identifying risks and understanding their needs and requirements.
Regular Contact: Maintain regular contact with service users, fostering a professional relationship and serving as a positive role model. Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments and take necessary actions, ensuring the personal safety of service users during activities.
External Relationships: Develop relationships with external groups and agencies to support the diverse needs and requirements of service users.
Complaints and Anti-Social Behavior: Respond promptly to internal or external complaints, challenge anti-social behavior, and report any identified risks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with young people at risk of homelessness and care leavers.
- Enhanced DBS certification for both adults and children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, including lone working.
Reporting Structure:
The Housing Night Worker will report to the Service Lead.
Working Conditions:
Lone working is required.
No option for working from home.
