Housing Officer

We are in search for a Housing Officer to fill a vacancy with one of our clients. They are looking for an applicant who has 2 years’ experience in a customer advice/administration role and is used too working with internal and external teams. Experience in dealing with the public and ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing will also be beneifical to this role.

The day to day duties of this role include but are not limited too:

• Responding to customer enquiries relating to their tenancy such as relationship breakdown, request to exchange property with another tenant and succession queries
• Identify any support requirements and make appropriate referrals
• Respond promptly to reports of ASB within the agreed service standards and take the lead for dealing with ASB issues on the patch
• Investigate reports thoroughly taking into account the individual needs and vulnerabilities of both victims and perpetrators
• Accurately record all estate inspections and complete any relevant follow-up works on an on-going basis
• Identify any areas for environmental improvement works in partnership with colleagues in the Property Services
• To be able to identify the need for additional support including financial support and to provide advice and guidance
• To be aware of external agencies and how to sign post customers
• To promote customer satisfaction through ensuring residents receive a quality, helpful, responsive and value for money service
