Housing Service Manager NLC12

As a Housing Service Manager you will be responsible to the Housing Operations Manager/Housing Area Manager, to ensure the effective delivery of specific service wide functions within Housing Solutions to a wide client group including tenants from local authorities, Registered Social Landlords and home owners.

In this key role you will assist in monitoring the Area Office budgets, supervise and manage staff teams and manage functions including rent management, estate services, anti-social behaviour and community safety, housing support services, homeless service delivery, management of temporary accommodation and allocation of void properties.

To fulfil this post, you will be educated to SVQ level 4/HND/Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have considerable experience to include development of housing policies and procedures, budget management and experience of managing employees and processes within a multi-disciplined setting.

A Diploma in Housing Studies, a management qualification and experience of working at senior level are desirable.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

It is a requirement of the post that you participate in the Out of Hours Homeless Standby Service Escalation Officer roster during evenings and weekends. Payments for periods of Standby will be made in accordance with the SJC Salaries Agreement.
