HR Administrator
Full time 36.5 hours per week Monday- Friday
£14 - £15 per hour including holiday pay
Aims of Job/Job Purpose
To provide meticulous HR administration and support to all faculties aca busy college in Birmingham, being the first point of call for all HR matters, policy guidance, management of talent, recruitment and employee benefits, including the employee lifecycle, compliance and vetting, maintenance of employee records and changes in employment.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries from employees and external partners, provide first level advice, guidance and support to managers and employees.
2. Co-ordinate the recruitment and on boarding process to ensure an efficient candidate experience
3. Undertake all pre compliance checks/vetting
4. Understand and maintain Right to Work regulations and highlight any areas of risk.
5. Liaising with external agencies to ensure compliance and maintain agency records
6. Maintaining accurate employment records, updating ITrent, HR trackers ensuring confidentiality is maintained, including the Single Central Record (SCR).
7. Absence administration and weekly reporting to all faculties and HR Advisors.
8. Completing contracts employment, contract amendments, including updating payroll to ensure changes are made within set deadlines.
9. Maintain probation documents
10. Undertake regular data cleansing and audits
11. Management of employee benefits platform
12. Assisting HR Advisors with note taking and the preparation of letters
13. Support the HR Team Leader with relevant project work or other reasonable requests
14. Take ownership of own faculty areas
15. Assisting with the preparation of management information to meet deadlines and HR SLA’s
16. Prioritise workload efficiently and timely and problem solving.
