Our client, based between Cheltenham and Gloucester in comfortable offices with free parking, is looking for an HR Administrator to join their HR and People team. A well-established Gloucestershire business, they span the UK delivering construction installations for very large clients.
This role will be predominantly recruitment based, coordinating the apprenticeship recruitment programme and ensuring all applicants have an informed and supported journey through the process from initial application to onboarding. There will also be opportunity to support with Head Office vacancies and generalist HR duties to build experience across the HR spectrum.
The HR Administrator will be responsible for:
Writing and posting job adverts
Coordinating assessment centres, from room booking and equipment hire to diary management of key staff required for interviews
Communicating the next steps with candidates via email and over the phone, delivering excellent service
Accurately recording information from applicants such as Right to Work and personal identification documentation
Giving feedback and making job offers to unsuccessful and successful candidates
Producing new starter and induction paperwork
Ensuring new starters have a positive welcome and start to their role at induction
We are looking for an HR Administrator with:
Minimum of grade C/level 4 Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, but ideally A-level education
A good office-based background; 6 months at least in an administrative role
A friendly and confident telephone manner
Strong Microsoft Office skills, namely Word, Outlook and Excel
An eye for detail, with diligence in written communication
The ability to manage multiple tasks at once, working on initiative independently
A systematic, organised approach to work
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to embark on a career within HR, or specialise from a generalist HR role into the internal recruitment side of things. Our client is offering a salary of GBP24,000pa, with 24 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and a range of employee benefits. This is a full-time role, with office hours of 8am-5pm, however flexible working will be considered and could provide 2 days per week working remotely, or a 4-day week for the right candidate.
