About the role
This is a key and busy role which will suit someone who is proactive and passionate about their work. You will provide a receptionist service for our Head Office site, with clerical and administrative support to the HR Services Manager. Based in the heart of the city on Lower Parliament Street, you will be the first point of contact for our visitors at reception.
No two days will be the same!
As an HR Administrator/Receptionist, you will assist with recruitment administration which may include but not be limited to screening CVs, publishing job adverts, scheduling interviews, arranging and administering assessment centres, and online, collating new starter packs, offer letters, contracts of employments and any other documentation as required.
In addition, you will:
- Liaise with candidates by phone/email; assisting with any queries and keeping them updated with the progress of their application
- Undertake pre-employment checks e.g. driving licence, right to work, qualifications and references effectively and efficiently; coordinating start dates for new employees
- Coordinate and manage the medical appointment process for new starters and existing employees; ensuring periodical medicals are undertaken
- Deal with candidate PCV licence applications and employee PCV renewals; liaising with DVLA and other external stakeholders to follow up on the progress of applications; updating relevant systems and spreadsheets
- Process new starter/leaver, and contract change processes in the HRIS
- Create, maintain and update confidential HR records and databases; ensuring accuracy
- Work with relevant managers to administer probation processes
- Undertake general office administration duties which may include but not be limited to:
- Raising purchase orders to third parties for services or work undertaken
- Process incoming and outgoing mail; liaising with couriers and the Post Office
- Filing and scanning of confidential HR records
- Ordering stationery
Hours of Work
Your hours of work will be 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday; between the hours of 8 am to 5pm; with an unpaid meal break.
About You
You will not only be resilient but will have with strong interpersonal, customer service, organisational and communication skills. In addition, you will be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and have a basic understanding of GDPR and have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Attention to detail will be your strong suit and you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing and able to work flexibly when required to meet service needs. Finally, you will have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits
- £27,100 per annum
- 25 days holiday per year plus recognised Bank Holidays
