Reed HR are proud to be supporting a large public sector organsation based in Pontypridd who are looking for a HR Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis. As the HR Advisor you will provide HR advice, guidance, and resolution on people policies and processes. This role covers the full employee lifecycle and will be joining a large and support HR team
This will be an initial 3 month contract that could be extended to 6.

What you'll be doing:
- Provide HR policy, procedure, and practice advice to managers and staff, ensuring legal compliance.
- Support recruitment by advising on advertising strategies, job descriptions, and compliance with the Equality Act and the Disability Confident Scheme.
- Engage in recruitment development projects to enhance the applicant experience and attract diverse candidates.
- Participate in job evaluation processes and manage onboarding activities, including visa and immigration queries and DBS checks.
- Advise on right to work compliance, sickness and absence management, and lower-level employment relations casework.
- Collaborate with trade union representatives to promote positive employment relations.
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, continuously reviewing and improving HR processes.
What you'll need:
- Cipd level 5
- Proven experience in HR advisory or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Experience in managing recruitment processes and onboarding activities.
- Ability to handle lower-level employment relations casework.
- Competency in HR systems and data analysis.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
