About the Company
Our client is a well-known, award winning company located in the Portsmouth/Southampton area. They are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with particular experience in employee relations who can support the HR team by delivering a proactive and customer focused HR service through providing effective support, guidance and advice to Managers and colleagues on a wide variety of matters including ER, Policy and Process, Recruitment and the delivery of key Projects.
HR Advisor The Rewards

- Support management at all levels with Employee Relations cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence.
- Provide advice to Managers on policy/procedure and legislation, supporting formal investigations and hearings.
- Manage sickness absence in collaboration with Managers, assisting colleagues back to work and working with Managers to reduce Sickness Absence.
- Supporting Managers with holding Sickness Absence Review meetings.
- Ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of Employee Relations issues by maintaining effective relationships with Union Representatives
- Support recruitment activities including interviewing and selecting candidates and Inductions where required
- Create, implement and administer Policies and Procedures
- Build and maintain good working relationships with Union Representatives, Managers across all levels
- Produce HR Data and Reports when required
- Experience in managing Employee Relations within a face to face environment
- Has managed, led and advised on a variety of ER casework within a fast-paced environment
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Can work to timescales and manage a busy workload in an organised and efficient manner
- Gets things done, delivers to high standards and takes responsibility
- Experience of working within a unionised environment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Positive and resilient when faced with setbacks
- Ability to work in the office 4 days a week, with 1 day from home
- Experience of working with automated HR systems
