Associate Business Partner
The CWS (HR) Associate Business Partner is an integral part of the Coworker Services (HR) team. CDW coworkers come to you as a central point of contact and reference for their questions and needs. You will also assist in administering policy and organizational development efforts and initiatives. You collaborate broadly with CDW’s Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Organizational Capability, Benefits, HRIS and CWS Operations teams and leverage the available internal resources as needed. However, your core function is to support and collaborate with your own specific CWS Team. This role’s success depends on the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and priorities at once whilst retaining your sense of humour. The key to the success of this role will be to build trusting relationships within CDW and communicate the CDW and CWS value proposition to coworkers and managers.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- HR generalist Support to the BP and Lead Advisor in your team
- Assist the business and CWS Business Partner team in executing our reoccurring CDW-wide strategic talent processes and programs for your assigned teams (Performance Management Process, Merit Review, Succession Planning)
- Address coworker needs as follows: Provide answers and solutions to coworker questions and issues regarding company policy, programs, benefits and first-line employee relation matters
- Address coworker needs as follows: Ensure communication of company policies and procedures are clear to coworkers; make recommendations for policy revisions
- Address coworker needs as follows: Maintain awareness of employment laws
- Support department and company-wide initiatives (Annual Benefits Enrolment, Organizational changes, Payroll changes, Exit Surveys, and Retention/Recognition programs)
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting which may include turnover data, workforce counts, compensation analysis, etc.
- Handle sensitive data with a strong sense of privacy and confidentiality
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend change as necessary
- Conduct special projects or assignments to serve our coworkers and support the management directives of the company
- Travel to other CDW locations as needed
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Demonstrative administrative/generalist human resources experience
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and Outlook. (queries, reports, etc.)
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive coworker information is vital
- Sound multi-tasking and self-organization capabilities within tight timelines
- Strong attention to detail while being results and solutions-driven
- Self-starter & relationship builder
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with coworkers at all levels including senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Beginning their CIPD journey is of interest but not essential. Experience working in busy HR team is essential.
