Reed HR are currently recruiting for a HR & Payroll Advisor to join our client on a fixed term contract for 6 months.
The role:
I'm looking for a HR & Payroll Advisor to join our clients team on a short term contract whilst they undertake an internal project.
I'm looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills. This position is suitable for a self-motivated individual who can work in a methodical manner and has worked across HR and Payroll.
Previous education experience would be preferred for this role but is not essential.
Responsibilities:
- To give a high-quality service to support line managers and employees and provide backup to the HR Operations Manager and admin team
- Deal with all aspects of employee relations, including managing absence and assisting with disciplinary matters, grievances and other employee matters
- Provide advice on company benefits, policies and procedures
- Recruitment, full life cycle including liaising with internal managers and external agencies, assisting the interview process, arranging interviews and issuing relevant correspondence through to offer and onboarding
- Assisting the team with compliance and preemployment checks
- Issue contracts of employment, contractual amendment letters and other correspondence
- Work with the HR Managers to update policies/ documents as guided
- Employee correspondence and responding to employee queries in a timely manner
- Support the data auditing process for iTrent and the Payroll project
- Maintain personal files in a confidential manner
- Work with the Payroll Manager and Payroll Officer to ensure that pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations
- Process all timesheets and amendments to contract on a monthly basis
- Administer third party deductions and other deductions from earnings
- Assist in the processing of the monthly PAYE payroll
- Produce monthly payroll reports
- Pensions administration & queries
- Maintain accurate payroll records, processing updates to reflect new starters, leavers and changes to pay rates
- Liaise with HMRC and update tax codes and student loan deductions etc
- Process statutory payments correctly
- Deal with payroll queries
- Work with the Payroll team on all aspects of payroll input and auditing
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
