Who will you be working with?
A Division of Wabtec UK Ltd, Northampton-based firm Bearward Engineering manufactures radiators for the power generation industry and is currently recruiting for an HR Assistant.
Role:HR Assistant
Salary: £Competitive
Location: Northampton, (NN4 8HJ), (Onsite)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 16:30pm, and Friday 08:00am to 15:30pm
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
Annual Leave: 23 days plus statutory bank holidays
Life Assurance: 4 x Salary

How will you make a difference?
You provide a high quality, effective, and efficient assistant service, supporting the HR Manager. To actively contribute to the HR business objectives becoming an Employer of Choice.
What will your typical day look like?
- Provide HR administrative support to the HR Manager.
- Ensure the relevant internal and external databases are kept up-to-date and accurate.
- Manage daily absence process and monitor against the Attendance Management policy and trigger points.
- Administer HR-related documentation.
- Process starters, and leavers and ensure relevant employment checks are undertaken.
- Maintain accurate employee documentation, responsible for checking and chasing expired documents such as passports, visas, and occupational or training qualifications.
- Tracking of occupational health screening requirements.
- Responsible for managing training requirements and booking of courses.
What do we want to know about you?
- Previous HR Administrator experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of Workday, HRIS system, and Tensor, time, and attendance systems would be an advance however full training will be given.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced).
- Efficient planning and time-management skills.
- Accurate and detail-oriented with data.
- Strong communication skills across multiple channels.
