We are recruiting an enthusiastic individual who has great interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team as an HR Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to demonstrate a supportive attitude with the ability to understand personal needs within the framework of the working environment.
We employ over 280 people, from full-time to casual team members, supporting a huge variety of roles across the organisation.
The successful HR Assistant will have the opportunity to play an integral part, working within the creative setting across our two amazing venues: Royal & Derngate, Northampton and The Core at Corby Cube.
You will be contracted for 15 hours per week, spread over 3-5 days (to be agreed upon with the successful candidate). Additional hours will be available during peak periods.
Job PurposeTo provide HR administration for Royal & Derngate, The Core at Corby Cube (The Core), and Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust (NAMT).
Key Task AreasEffectively use the HR management computerised system to maintain the administration of all Human Resource activities, including recruitment, onboarding, self-service, personnel information, performance reviews, and general maintenance of HR office proceduresOrganise recruitment campaigns, from ensuring recruitment approval forms are completed, vacancy information is posted on relevant job sites, receiving and entering applications onto the HR system, and scheduling interviewsPrepare and send contracts and other relevant paperwork for successful recruitment candidates and other new employees up to manager levelEnsure all HR policies and procedures are distributed through the HR system and to individualsTake minutes of HR-related meetings as requiredAdminister the work experience placement scheme for Royal & Derngate and NAMTProvide the finance team with relevant payroll data for timesheet and salaried colleagues on a monthly basisAdministration of DBS checks for appropriate rolesAssist the HR Manager with the administration of all HR-related projects and the annual training plan, contacting training suppliers and booking coursesWork with the HR Manager to collate equal opportunities monitoring information for all employees and self-employed workers and capture data for reporting purposes on an annual basis to the Arts Council (England) and other bodiesFor a full job description, please visit our website (large print and audio available).
