Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: Gateway Plaza, Sackville St, Barnsley, S70 2SB

Pay: £11.45 per hour

Shift Pattern: 3 days a week (flexible)

Hours: Between 8:30am-4:30pm

Trust Location: Barnsley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Assist in the provision of an efficient and effective reception and HR support service.
  • Provide general clerical support to the HR Team as required
  • Provide an effective and professional reception service to visitors of the HR Department.
  • Receive and deal with telephone calls and enquiries.
  • Process and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, including the delivery and collection of parcels.
  • Carry out general clerical duties including photocopying, filing, typing etc in order to support the HR Team.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous recruitment experience
  • NHS System Knowledge
