We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join the Rhodes Trust based at Rhodes House in Central Oxford. This role is a key position within the HR team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transactional and advisory HR support across the Rhodes Trust.

The role
This role will act as a first point of contact, supporting the entire employment lifecycle, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, and benefits activity. Working in a small team you will interact with staff at all levels in the UK, US and Internationally in order to deliver accurate, appropriate and timely HR support to the department.
The role will be responsible for;
- Providing a general administrative support for the whole employment life cycle, including issuing relevant letters and documents, answering enquiries and managing the shared HR mailbox.
- Accurately maintain all confidential personnel records using existing HR systems taking into account the GDPR and Information Security policies.
- Supporting on all aspects of recruitment administration and ensure that pre-employment checks are completed including immigration documentation and DBS checks.
- Supporting with HR projects as required.
- Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.
- Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience of successfully managing a varied HR workload, excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to consistently meet agreed objectives and take personal responsibility for getting things done.
You must also be comfortable being the first point of contact for straightforward enquiries and confident communicating with people at all levels across the organisation; a CIPD qualification is desirable, but not essential.
