In this role, working within a fast paced and growing food manufacturer of chilled and frozen food to go, supplying to well-known customers across multiple sales channels including tourism, healthcare and education and retail.
you will be Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HRBP Business Partner operational areas within Avonmouth site, working with and supporting leaders to address people related issues (absence, performance, talent management, succession planning etc.) to improve performance, assist with retention strategies and ‘future proof’ area for further growth.
The HRBP will be expected to deliver this though effective leadership, ensuring legal requirements, policies, standards, procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented and systems exist to ensure the Company is compliant with all current legislation.
The Role:
- Deputise for Senior HR Manager
- Absence Management – both short term, long term and capability
- Hold welfare meetings with team members as necessary to support with reducing / managing absence
- Talent management, supporting managers with poor performance, performance improvement plans, succession planning etc.
- Assist with retention strategies and ‘future proof’ area for further growth
- Support with the review, updating and training of policies and support with introducing new ones where they do not yet exist.
- HR Project Work
- Hold regular round table sessions to gain feedback from team members
- Support with introduction of works council, attending regular meetings, alongside HR team
- Employee engagement / feedback surveys and action planning sessions
- Support with wellbeing initiatives
- Support with developing HR Advisor
Skills:
- Minimum level 5 CIPD qualification, or working towards
- Experience within a similar multi-site environment; ideally within Food Manufacturing
- Experience in influencing cross functional teams to deliver new processes
- Demonstrate good judgement, drive and motivation to execute tasks
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Good I.T skills; proficient in all Microsoft packages
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
