Our client, a global investment banking company in London (Canary Wharf), is recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join their business on an initial 9-month contract basis to cover maternity leave.

• Proven HR experience at a Business Partnering level gained within financial services


• Experience of working with front office clients (very advantageous)


• CIPD qualification preferred


• Compensation/data experience and strong numerical skills


• Strong Excel skills

• Act as key point of contact, providing guidance and recommendations on aspects of policy and people management


• Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations


• Liaise with in-house Legal advisors & Employee Relations where necessary


• Partner with the business and the internal recruitment team on lateral recruitment activities, including identifying and selecting appropriate sources of candidates


• Advise managers to ensure appropriate compensation decisions are made based upon performance, parity of awards, promotion etc


• Partner with the HR Data team to provide appropriate and timely management data


• Liaise with the business unit in relation to the requirements of the Senior Manager Certification regime and the compensation implications


• Advise managers on compensation structures and regulatory requirements at all levels


• Participate in the divisional talent ranking process for the EMEA region


• Manage a seamless promotion process
