My client is a dynamic and reputable law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal services. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join their team and contribute to the strategic development and success of the firm.
The HR Business Partner will play a pivotal role within the organisation, reporting to the Head of HR and collaborating closely with the wider HR team This individual will strategically partner with designated areas of the firm, ensuring the people element is central to business strategizing, decision-making, and planning at the local level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with designated areas, placing the people element at the forefront of local strategising, decision making, and planning.
- HR Caseload Management: Effectively manage a complex HR caseload, with the ability to implement HR projects Business Understanding: Build a profound understanding of designated business areas, both internally and externally, addressing their demands and challenges by providing HR expertise and support.
- HR Support and Advice: Work closely with the Head of HR to offer clear HR advice and coaching to line and department managers on various HR functions, including induction, performance, conduct, employee relations, welfare, development, talent management, and exit processes.
- Employee Experience: Promote a positive employee experience, culture, and engaged workforce, actively assisting managers in actions that contribute to employee health, empowerment, motivation, and retention.
- Development and Collaboration: Contribute to the development of the HR team and the wider firm by sharing people management skills and knowledge. Coach and work with line managers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- People Initiatives: Collaborate with the HR Lead on people initiatives to ensure the firm achieves its strategic goals.
- Succession Planning: Understand and work with designated business areas to ensure effective succession and manpower planning.
- Resourcing and Talent Pipeline: Develop solid resourcing business cases, challenge them appropriately, and present them to the senior management team. Work on resourcing and talent pipeline initiatives, liaising with the Recruitment Business Partner for recruitment activities.
- Project Representation: Act as the HR representative on other projects within the firm.
Applicants MUST have:
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably professional services environment ideally legal
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle a complex HR caseload and manage HR projects effectively.
- Must have CIPD level 7
