About The Role
The role blends a knowledge of people processes and practice with a focus on compliance and risk assurance. Working closely with colleagues within People Directorate as well as key stakeholders across the Society, the HR & Compliance Officer will provide support on critical projects such as Safer Recruitment, as well as developing existing people processes within People Operations.
About you
- Ideally have experience in Human Resources and Compliance.
- Ability to apply your HR knowledge to our processes we follow in People Operations and ensure that we are compliant with external and internal regulations.
- Experience of safeguarding within a HR role, including knowledge of Safer Recruitment principles and criminal record checks
- Able to build good working relationships with colleagues within our People directorate as well as those in other directorates, working towards a shared goal.
- Have a future-focused and continuous improvement approach to your work; how can we make a difference to our colleagues within the Society who are doing important and excellent work, and how can we best support them to maintain compliance with key processes.
- Excellent and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent IT skills and extensive experience/knowledge on using Microsoft packages.
- Work collaboratively and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
- Advocate for Alzheimer’s Society, demonstrating passion and resilience to make a difference.
- Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.
