Tate Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a local authority business located in Brighton. We are currently recruiting for a Lead HR Consultant to join their HR & Organisational Development.

The Role

Lead HR Consultant - Advisory Services

• As Lead HR Consultant, you will be reporting to an HR Manager, providing complex, risk-based Employee Relations guidance to senior managers and provide support and guidance to HR Consultants. This role is likely to have a focus on supporting schools through organisational change.
• You will receive daily contact from managers who have questions about supporting their staff and complex management issues.
• Your role will be to ensure managers manage in line with the organisations policy and ensure all staff received fair treatment. You will work with Trade Union representatives to ensure the employees voice is heard, and fair decisions are made.
• You will also support managers through complex formal processes such as Grievances, Disciplinaries and Appeals ensure that these are arranged and held in accordance with the organisations polices and ACAS expectations.
• You will work as part of the extended HR Advisory Management Team to support with improvements in quality of casework and performance.

Requirements

• We are looking for a qualified HR Advisor or Consultant who can demonstrate 2 years plus experience working on employee relations cases, who can demonstrate being successful in holding fair disciplinary and grievance hearings and completing change management exercises.
• You should have a desire to learn and be excited by the opportunity to work for an employer who can offer a varied and interesting workload.
