Due to rapid growth of the company, our client is recruiting for a seasoned HR Manager to play a pivotal role to support in their expansion. This role is designed for a candidate who can establish a comprehensive HR function, including policies, procedures, recruitment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and foster a positive employee experience. The HR Manager will closely collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and the Founders to support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic HR plan that aligns with the company's vision and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to support business growth and expansion efforts.
2. HR Process Establishment:
- Craft HR policies, procedures, and guidelines from the ground up to create a solid foundation.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, ensuring they reflect the company's unique culture and values.
3. Recruitment and Talent Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate evaluation, and onboarding.
- Implement effective talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent.
4. Compliance and Disciplinary Procedures:
- Ensure that all HR practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage employee relations, including disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
5. Diversity and Inclusion:
- Develop and lead initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion across the organisation.
- Cultivate an inclusive and equitable work environment that values differences.
6. Employee Engagement and Well-being:
- Create and execute programs to enhance employee engagement, morale, and well-being.
- Address employee concerns promptly to ensure a collaborative and supportive HR function.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
- A demonstrable track record in a similar role within a dynamic SME environment.
- Proven experience in building HR functions and processes from scratch.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and best HR practices.
- A strong background in supporting rapid business growth and expansion.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Flexibility to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and a base location in Leeds or Manchester for at least three days a week.
