Job description

Location: Winchester (we offer hybrid working for this position, with travel to London on a business needs basis)

This is an exciting, brand-new position, created as part of the wider department strategy, to enhance our data-driven decision -making capabilities.


Reporting to the Head of HR, and working alongside a team of 11 HR, payroll and recruitment professionals, you will provide senior-level HR support and partnership to designated business units, whilst leading the development and optimisation of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), reporting, and analytics to support informed decision-making across the organisation.


What will you be doing?

Your key responsibilities will be wide-ranging across HR business partnership, HRIS analytics and insight, AI and automations development, policy and procedure development, annual process support and project management. These will include;

  • Providing strategic and operational HR advice, guidance and coaching expertise to support designated business units
  • Leading employee relations, organisational development initiatives and People Leader upskilling
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across the firm to foster a positive work environment and ensure alignment between HR and business strategies
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and optimisation of the HRIS to ensure accurate and timely HR data management and employee/partner and manager self-service
  • Supporting the creation of a data-driven culture by developing analytics capabilities within the HR department and wider business, and promoting data literacy across the HR team
  • To create/evolve, maintain and enhance insightful HR dashboards and reports to track key HR metrics to support and develop our business and people strategy
  • Support with the management, development and analytics of our pay and benefits offering, processes and flexible benefits systems
  • Exploring and implementing AI and automation solutions to enhance HR operations and analytics
  • Collaborating with Digital Services to develop and integrate AI and automation solutions within the HRIS and other HR platforms and processes.
  • Development, review, and updating HR policies and procedures according to business needs and legal updates
  • Lead HRIS and other HR-related projects as assigned, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget


What skills, experience and qualities will you bring?

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD Level 7) preferred
  • Demonstrable generalist HR Experience with track record of handling employee relations issues, alongside up to date employment legislation and professional HR issues
  • Experience with HRIS, reporting, and analytics is essential
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to details, project management and communication skills
  • Team player, collaborative in nature with the ability to motivate self and others
  • Flexible, resilient, pragmatic and discrete
  • Comprehensive MS Office applications knowledge
