As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking HR Manager to work closely with the Managing Director and to join the leadership team, helping them enhance their people capabilities.
Job description
Working closely with our Managing Director to support the development and performance management of our leadership team, you will also create and deliver a refreshed HR strategy aligned to our strategic goals and business plan.
On a day-to-day basis you will operate as our ‘people lead’ supporting our departmental heads and their teams in all aspects of HR; from recruitment and retention; to performance management and development; and right through to organisational culture and the operation of our employee brand.

Key responsibilities include:
- Working alongside our MD to performance manage, coach and upskill our senior team to achieve their business and career development goals. Proactively recommending on future goals and standards in line with business strategy
- Developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports the achievement of our commercial goals and that delivers an effective day to day HR ‘service’ to the business.
- Creating and implementing effective plans and initiatives to foster and grow the culture of the business and bring to life (alongside our Head of Marketing) the ‘employee brand’
- To actively participate in the creation of our new staff training academy, as a key member of the project team.
About You
We are looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Proven experience in HR roles and experience of working closely with the Senior Leadership Team / Management, preferably (but not essentially) within high growth businesses or commercial and industrial sectors
- A strategic thinker and high-level influencer, experienced in the development of HR strategy, who is equally capable of day to day service delivery and implementation
- Experience in utilising company culture as key driver of people performance
- A self-starter with excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Completely up to date on all aspects of HR legislation and practice, ideally with relevant CIPD qualifications, and demonstrable continuous professional development.
