Location: Newport, Isle of Wight ( this is not a remote working role)

Hours: 35 hours per week ( may be flexible for the right candidate)

Days: Monday - Friday ( may consider 4 days for the right candidate)

Duration: temporary, immediate start whilst recruiting ( may be temp to perm for the right candidate)

Duties:

Supporting the HR department and proving human resources support to managers, employees and external customers including,
Assisting in the end to end delivery of the recruitment life cycle from advertising, processing applications, screening and supporting shortlisting, arranging interviews, pre-employment background checks, applicant correspondence, issuing contracts, organising inductions and training, updating and maintaining databases.
Assisting in performance management including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management,
Assisting with employee engagement and promoting core values and monitoring wellbeing.
Updating and maintain employee records,
Further aspects of HR support may be required during the assignment dependent upon candidates capabilities.

Experience:

Must have proven experience within an HR department or responsibility for HR functions within a smaller organisation.
CIPD qualifications are preferred.
Must have a good level of computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Must be able to work flexibly, prioritise workload and adhere to deadlines on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Salary: £12.60 - £17.00 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications
