VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Project Manager for one of the largest Procurement and Logistic organisations in NI. This Project Manager role will run initially for 6 months (with possibility of extension).
This role is full time (37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, offering a hybrid working model 3 days in the office & 2 days remote.
Project:
Supporting the Head of Goods & Services Procurement Manager in the project management related duties for an Organisation Design Project including co-ordination of project meetings and workshops, planning, communication briefs and presentations,management of all project related information including action tracker, risk register & issues log
Responsibilities:
- Support senior management staff in developing and implementing service improvement projects and initiatives to time and in a cost-effective way. This may include organisational structure redesign,
- Demonstrate the ability to work on his or her own initiative and make decisions appropriate to the level of the post within the organisation.
- Plan, organise and prioritise own workload to ensure project objectives are met on time, ensuring Programme Managers are kept informed of project progress and escalating problems where necessary.
- Participate in and lead, when appropriate, relevant internal and external working groups/projects to ensure timely completion.
- Contribute to the discussions on informing the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementing and evaluating service improvement projects and initiatives by providing sophisticated, high quality project analysis.
- Utilise a range of complex information for the purposes of comparison allowing regional bench-marking to occur.
- Take the lead in drafting action plans, which assist meeting performance targets.
- In conjunction with the Head of Goods and Services Procurement Manager identify and work through constraints and risks that inhibit the progress of service improvement at regional and local level.
- Act as an advocate and explore opportunities for HSC systems to develop an approach to continuous improvement.
- Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for specific projects where agreed.
The Ideal Person:
- A university degree or professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years’ experience in a project management role within a major organisation;
- Have worked for at least 3 years in a project management role within a major organisation
- Have a project methodology qualification (i.e. PRINCE II)
Remuneration:
BAND 7 HSCNI pay grade, plus holiday pay, pension and discount benefits.
