The HSE Officer is responsible for assisting in the management of the site HSE systems, working proactively with both employees and management to establish & maintain safe and environmentally sustainable systems of work across all areas of their Shropshire site.

Description
- Maintain the H&S Management system
- Ensuring compliance with current legislation, industry standards & company procedures
- Daily site inspections of all departments to proactively ensure compliance and establish a healthy culture attitude towards HSE related issues
- Assist in Investigations of all accidents/incidents that occur & collate all information, complete and action outcomes from accident investigations
- Risk assessments - review & update risk assessments with departments to ensure all areas of the factory are assessed and accurate
- Assist in the management of ad-hoc departments such as Hygiene, Site Aesthetics and Security
- Assist when required in the daily maintenance of the Environmental Management Systems and ISO 14001

Profile
An experienced HSE advisor/officer, ideally from a Food Manufacturing environment, as well as:
- Positive attitude towards Health and Safety
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is desirable
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- Diligent with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
