Job Purpose
This role will support the HR Shared Services team with day to day transactional activity including – starters (contracts, pre-employment and onboarding activity), reference requests, BPSS clearance, leavers, internal moves. The successful candidate will support with the centralisation and consistency in advance of the increasing recruitment activity across H&W.
The Role
- Process starters/leavers, coordinating on-boarding new staff and off-boarding leavers.
- Ensure internal HR systems are accurate and up to date by inputting data in an accurate and timely manner onto HR information systems.
- Operate under instruction of the Shared Services Team Leader
- Ability to manage and set own workloads and priorities.
- Ability to work to tight timescales and high levels of quality and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc management information reports to support continuous improvement.
- Respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Organise archiving of paper and electronic files in accordance with GDPR legislation and the requirements of the department to ensure the utmost confidentiality.

About you
- Experience within an Administration role preferably within and HR environment
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and HR Management Information Systems.
- The ability to deal efficiently with large volumes of work and prioritising demands.
