ICP Scientist
We are currently looking for an ICP Scientist to join a leading CRO company based in the Manchester area.
As the ICP Scientist you will be responsible to utilise your skill set and knowledge in all practical aspects of Biopharma analysis using a wide range of analytical techniques such as ICP -OES / ICP/MS.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the ICP Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
You will support/act as a lead scientist working across a vast array of projects involving routine analysis, methods development, method validations and troubleshooting which will range in scale, scope, and timeline.
2.
As the ICP Scientist, you will be involved in the assessment and planning of analytical strategies to deliver complex scientific work packages to meet customer requirements.
You will also take a lead role in performing practical analytical work, generating, and interpreting data as well as generating technical reports technical.
3.
You will assist in the development and training of Junior staff and when required work as part of the other teams within the analytical delivery team.
4.
It will be crucial to perform peer/ technical reviews of team members as well as communicate with both technical and lay audiences.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the ICP Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1.
Relevant degree in Biochemistry / Chemistry (or related scientific discipline) is essential.
2.
It is crucial to have an in-depth knowledge of (Bio)Pharmaceutical testing with experience using Chromatography and quantitative Mass Spectrometry techniques for the analysis of pharmaceuticals.
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience of working in a GxP regulatory laboratory with a strong understanding of GMP principles is required.
4.
It is also ideal to have experience working with Oligonucleotides and/or m-RNA based products.
