Plan, design, coordinate and deliver training for all police officers and staff in relevant ICT facilities within the Constabulary, liaising with the Force Training department, ICT Business Development, the ICT Portfolio Manager and Project Managers to support delivery of scheduled events, prioritised programmes, and system upgrades.
Key responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and delivery of ‘In House’ training courses in the use of ICT facilities, ensuring that adequate support documentation is available in accordance with force standards.
Conduct training needs analysis and recommend training methods and materials, thereby ensuring that the most appropriate and cost-effective options are applied, and training is effectively transferred to the workplace.
Develop and publish a full ICT Training schedule which includes remedial training courses for those identified as needing additional ICT support.
Act as an expert and mentor across all parts of ICT for training issues
Compile additional training manuals in excess of those provided by suppliers, and ensure changes and updates are made.
Develop, design, and deliver e-learning material in support of ICT 1st Line Support and ICT Business Development.
Provide follow-up assistance as required to all trained users and to ensure the effective operation of systems. Recording and tracking ICT incidents and service requests when identified during training, resolving, monitoring, and progressing faults and service requests in accordance with service standards set for the department
Assist in the acceptance testing of new systems to ensure that Force requirements are met.
Assist in ensuring that security controls are maintained and are adequately understood by all users and the requirements of the ‘Community Security Policy’ for Police Computer Systems, the Computer Misuses Act, and Home Office Communications regulations and Force Information & Security policies.

Qualification: Formal course in training instruction (e.g. Adult and Further Education Teaching Certificate, Certificate in Education, NVQ level 3/4 in training.) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Valid current and full Driving Licence / ability to travel Knowledge: ICT Technical awareness Experience: Min of 6 months experience in ICT training.
Proven experience in the design, development, and delivery of training initiatives.
Proven experience in conducting training needs analysis and establishing the most effective method of training preparation and delivery of course materials.
