Description
* Advising on a range of legal matters including transactional, contractual, contentious, data, Consumer Credit
* Reviewing and drafting contract documentation
* Transaction, deal support in conjunction with Risk/Credit and business units
* Instructing and managing external counsel. Taking account of budget requirements and BNPP Group Legal panel guidelines
* Supporting Compliance and senior management in relation to regulatory matters, queries and investigations
* Managing and overseeing contentious complaints and dispute management matters
* Pro-active legal risk management and controls, including legal horizon scanning, precedents, guidance and training
Profile
A successful In House Lawyer should have:
- UK & Ireland qualified lawyer
- Ideally 1-2 years PQE
- Strong financial services background
- Corporate governance/procurement/litigation experience (desirable)
- Experience and knowledge of asset leasing with a law firm or in-house
- Dispute resolution experience
- CCA and FSMA experience, particularly CONC
