In House Lawyer

This is a permanent In House legal counsel role, Our client is looking for a legal counsel to join their legal team supporting and advising on a range of legal matters including transactional, contractual, contentious, data, Consumer Credit, Corporate governance

Description

* Advising on a range of legal matters including transactional, contractual, contentious, data, Consumer Credit
* Reviewing and drafting contract documentation
* Transaction, deal support in conjunction with Risk/Credit and business units
* Instructing and managing external counsel. Taking account of budget requirements and BNPP Group Legal panel guidelines
* Supporting Compliance and senior management in relation to regulatory matters, queries and investigations
* Managing and overseeing contentious complaints and dispute management matters
* Pro-active legal risk management and controls, including legal horizon scanning, precedents, guidance and training

Profile

A successful In House Lawyer should have:

• UK & Ireland qualified lawyer
• Ideally 1-2 years PQE
• Strong financial services background
• Corporate governance/procurement/litigation experience (desirable)
• Experience and knowledge of asset leasing with a law firm or in-house
• Dispute resolution experience
• CCA and FSMA experience, particularly CONC
