Indirect Buyer

Are you an experienced Buyer that would love to work for a growing organisation that is customer focused? Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for indirect spend to include areas such as transport, engineering, IT and sales and marketing.
Based in Birmingham, you will be site based while learning the ropes, but after that the role will be hybrid with a mix of home and office work. As Buyer, you will work with various stakeholders across the business to reduce cost and complexity across the supply base, manage and develop category strategies and source new suppliers. You will also manage contracts, run tenders and create supplier scorecards.
In order to carry out this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Good written an verbal communication skills
• An enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
• The ability to challenge and suggest alternatives to current ways of working

In return, you will receive a salary of circa £35,000 to £40,000 plus benefits.
