Role Overview: Reporting to the Indirect Tax Head, you will oversee VAT account reconciliations and returns, manage VAT processes across various entities, and prepare group VAT submissions to HMRC. Additionally, you'll provide tax expertise for projects and business initiatives, ensuring precise accounting and general ledger postings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review VAT reconciliations and returns
- Manage VAT processes for all group entities
- Prepare and submit group VAT returns to HMRC
- Offer tax guidance on business projects and transactions
- Ensure VAT compliance and accurate transaction reporting
- Handle VAT error corrections and property tax options
- Enhance Indirect Tax reporting and audit procedures
Requirements:
- Relevant accounting qualification
- Experience in the financial services sector great to have
- Strong understanding of UK tax laws, especially Indirect Taxes
- Ability to build effective relationships with tax authorities and advisors
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
