Infrastructure Engineer (Applications) – Liverpool – Hybrid working £38,000 - £44,000 and excellent benefits
We are working with one of the region’s largest employers, a recognised leader in their sector with a diverse and unique user base of in excess of 30,000 users. Due to a large scale investment and expansion an opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer skilled in Application Deployment to join them.
This specific Team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the operating systems and applications that are deployed to the organisation’s ‘Managed Windows Service’ (MWS) estate which has over 13,000 computers. The team is also responsible for the development and management of mobile devices provided.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to): Administration of end user device management and associated operating systems, packaging and delivering software applications, troubleshooting incidents and problems, providing second/third line support and ensuring the CMDB is routinely audited and kept up to date.
Key skills and experience required:
- Experience as a desktop system administrator in a complex large-scale organisation
- Experience in application packaging and delivery in a Windows environment
- Experience in application packaging and delivery in a MacOS environment
- Experience in automated OS deployment, application packaging and delivery
- Experience in scripting and automation, SCCM, MSI file modification
- Experience of working in an ITIL environment
- Experience in applications snapshotting and applications installation
- Please note that we are looking specifically for proven experience in application deployment and NOT operating system deployment
- Experience in working within a largescale diverse large volume user environment
