Infrastructure Engineer: 50k - 55k
Permanent position. Remote working with EMEA Travel 3 or 4 times a year.
The role in question is situated within the Project team, collaborating closely with other Infrastructure Engineers and Project Managers. You will engage in IT infrastructure projects ranging from small to large scales, contributing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Must have prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments, coupled with a robust technical acumen that enables you to offer valuable insights and effectively oversee project execution.
We do not require candidates to have excessive expertise in all of the areas (network, servers, cloud, etc.).
We want a corporate IT engineer who can cover corporate IT systems widely to specialise in particular categories.
The position offers a dynamic exposure to various IT infrastructure technologies, with opportunities to work remotely or on-site at various customer locations spread across the EMEA region's 40 sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
Undertake and manage infrastructure-related projects, ensuring comprehensive design and implementation as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Oversee small-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion, guaranteeing successful delivery.
Ensure that all projects adhere to the predefined scope, budget constraints, and scheduled timelines.
Develop detailed project plans, proposals, and applications to secure necessary approvals for project initiation.
Generate project highlight reports tailored for both management and client review, providing transparency and updates on project status.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to facilitate necessary changes and implementations within the project framework.
Provide support and resolution for technical issues that emerge during project execution, ensuring minimal disruption.
Recommend and execute design modifications to IT infrastructures, aligning with project requirements and advancements.
Experience:
**Technical Experience**: Candidates should have 3-5 years of technical experience, showing a track record of increasing responsibility.
**Server Experience**: Demonstrated extensive experience in server support, including design and implementation, is crucial.
**Multi-site IT Environment**: Experience working within a multi-site networked IT environment is a prerequisite, suggesting familiarity with complex networking challenges.
**Security Expertise**: A strong background in server and network security is essential, highlighting a commitment to protecting data integrity.
**Microsoft 365 Technologies**: Experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 SaaS and PaaS technologies is required, showing proficiency in modern cloud-based solutions. **Cloud Services**: Proficiency with cloud services, especially AWS, Azure, and GCP, is necessary, reflecting a versatile skill set in cloud computing.
**Azure Active Directory**: Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Federation services is important, indicating an understanding of identity management solutions.
**Storage Solutions**: Experience with SAN storage solutions and server management is expected, pointing to a capability in handling data storage needs.
**Networking Skills**: Basic networking experience, including familiarity with SD-WAN, is part of the role, suggesting a foundational understanding of network connectivity and management.
Key Skills and Knowledge.
Solid Windows OS & Server Applications experience:
ADFS, EXCHANGE, LAN/WAN Networking, SD-WAN, Storage/SAN, IT Security and Microsoft 365.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO EUROPE , Middle East and Africa.
