As a Interim Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the field of accounting.
Duties:
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare financial reports and statements for review by senior accountants or management
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is a plus
- Knowledge of financial services industry is a plus
