Work pattern: Remote, with travel into the office up to 8 times a year with flexibility to attend meetings if needed

Rate: £33 an hour+ holiday pay

Responsible to: Director of Finance

Responsible for: 2 accounting staff

Are you a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting and analytical skills?

Are you passionate about working for a developing organisation and developing junior accounts staff?

In your role as a Head of Finance you will have the opportunity to work for a unique not for profit who work with a variety of charities offering financial support to help them continue with there invaluable work.

In this exciting Head of Finance role, you will work as part of a windr finance team of 6 people and will line manage two member of staff.

This is a hands on role and in your role as Head of Finance you are required to;

• Producing monthly Management Accounts
• Preparing and submitting the quarterly VAT returns
• Business partnering with all budget holders to review individual performances as well as assisting with Grants and Investments reporting
• Reviewing group strategy and support the SMG on delivery of this strategy
• Oversee the day to day management two direct reports showing direct leadership and mentorship
• Oversee cash management including credit control, cashflow forecasts
• Work closely with the Project Accountant and produce data for any financial modelling
• Deliver year end accounts including liaising with auditors

The skills you will bring to your role as Head of Finance will include;

• Experience in a similar role ideally within the charity/not for profit sector
• Accounting qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA
• Working knowledge of Xero and Excel
• Excellent working of charity accounting including SORP accounting
• Understanding VAT submissions including partial exemption
• Experience delivering year end audit
• Strong people management and mentorship experience
