SalaryAn exciting role as an Interim Head of Finance position has come available and a well established banking client of mine!
We are looking for a Head of Finance to join the senior management team and lead the finance function of the Bank. As the Head of Finance, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and be responsible for the following:
- Providing timely and accurate financial information, including statutory accounts, management accounts, business and product analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management
- Supporting the CFO in ensuring that the Bank complies with its statutory and regulatory obligations from a finance and treasury perspective
- Leading the external and internal audit relationship and management
- Supporting business performance and enhancing decision making to deliver a sustainable business model through provision of insight and analysis
- Managing the preparation of corporation tax, purchase ledger, general ledger, revenue recognition
- Developing all processes, controls, and reporting benchmarking best practices
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a banking environment.
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector, preferably in a specialised or niche bank
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, and relevant regulatory frameworks (PRA, FCA, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to provide insight and guidance on complex financial matters
