SalaryAn exciting technology company in Dubai is looking to hire an interim Legal Counsel to join the business vertical dedicated to rolling out their retail offering. The initial assignment is due to run for a period of 4 months, but there is potential for further extension.
The successful lawyer will join an established legal team and can expect to:
- Advise the business on legal aspects of business decisions, identify, and mitigate potential risks.
- Draft and review legal agreements, including supply agreements, leases, and bespoke agreements for partnership.
- Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers and partners.
- Navigate evolving regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
- Work on the legal aspects of launching new markets and dark stores in the market.
Lawyers should be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a solicitor.
- Upwards of two years' PQE in handling a broad range of general commercial work.
- Prior experience in the retail, FMCG, or dark store sectors in the MENA region.
- The ability to work with shifting priorities, ambiguity, and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong drafting skills.
- Fluency in English.
