Our client, a prominent organisation in the South-West, is currently seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis.
As the Interim Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within the business, responsible for financial management, analysis, and reporting to drive informed decision-making and support organisational objectives.
The responsibilities:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and analyse variances.
- Define and track key performance indicators, prepare reports, and communicate results.
- Ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts through detailed reconciliations.
- Manage inter-company accounts, including transactions and reconcile balances between multiple entities.
- Analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive business performance.
- Assist in closing activities, prepare financial statements, and ensure timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, support audits, and implement recommendations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organisational goals.
The candidate:
- AAT or CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
- Experience in a similar Management Accountant role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Exceptional analytical skills enabling the interpretation of financial data and provision of actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across departments.
