International Financial Controller, Media PLC, Manchester, up to £80k DOE + bonus & benefits
I am working with a multi-billion pound leading Media business who are looking for a confident, technically astute International Financial Controller to join the successful Group reporting team.
This role has materialised due to an international internal promotion. The role offers with incredible visibility across the business, directly partnering with the International FD's and CFO's being the 'go-to' person for technical accounting queries. You must be able to build trust and confidently partner senior leadership.
This position has emerged as a result of an internal international promotion, so great progression opportunities. It provides substantial exposure throughout the organisation, involving direct collaboration with International Financial Directors and Chief Financial Officers. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical accounting inquiries, requiring the ability to establish trust and effectively partner with senior leadership.
You will have a crucial role reporting directly to the Head of Controllership, ensuring the financial integrity of statutory entities internationally. Your responsibilities will include meeting all period-end, local legal, and regulatory deadlines. This position involves overseeing the integrity of the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and financial reporting for legal entities.

Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet Reviews supported by the team and regular reviews with the International FD's across Europe, The US and
- Ongoing review and development of processes and controls around monthly and annual reporting of multiple international legal entities
- Work closely with Business Finance teams on rolling out business change initiatives and advise on implications of updated technical accounting standards
- Ensure all Group policies (including accounting, tax and treasury) and key controls are adhered to
- Provide advice on complex statutory accounts, audit, and technical inquiries for the business
- Support the other Financial Controllers with workload on an ad-hocbasis
Essentials
- ACA / ACCA Qualified 5+ years PQE
- IFRS and UK GAAP - in particular IFRS15
- Open to international travel
- Experience working for large/medium organisations
- Confidence to partner senior leadership
