The Climate Litigation Network works with partners around the world to bring ground-breaking litigation to drive stronger climate action. We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our growing team as Operations Associate as we advance climate justice.
CLN was established in 2016 following the historic Urgenda climate case in the Netherlands, which led to the first decision of a court globally to order a national government to increase its climate ambition. To harness the ground-breaking strategy and expertise developed in bringing that case, the Urgenda Foundation set up CLN in 2016 to inspire and strengthen climate cases brought by local organisations and affected communities.
The Operations Associate will support the Co-Directors in building a high performing, well resourced, impact driven and happy team. It is a role which will suit you if you are highly organised, have a solid understanding of core operational processes, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and mission-driven role.

- Assisting with the development and/or communication of HR policies, and monitoring the professional development process for existing team members.
- Assisting with the recruitment process and onboarding of new staff.
- Managing CLN’s fundraising process from an operational perspective.
- Maintaining effective filing and information management systems to facilitate resource sharing and access across the organisation.
- Arranging travel booking and logistics for the team.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including CLN’s charitable status and data protection / privacy standards.
- Assisting with the process of establishing CLN as a legal entity in the United Kingdom.
- Collating and processing invoices from contractors and reimbursement requests from staff.
- Monitoring CLN’s general information email and website.
The above responsibilities are indicative of the scope of the role. CLN is a small but growing organisation, so we are looking for someone who can grow with the organisation and be creative in identifying and meeting new needs.
