This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.Reporting to the IT Operations Director and managing a team of experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineers to provide excellent support to the Speedy group in all aspects of IT infrastructure Operations.Accountabilities• Supporting the design of best in breed IT infrastructure and cloud services and solutions for Speedy.• Responsible for the delivery of best in breed IT infrastructure and cloud services and solutions for Speedy.• Responsible for the effective management of the IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services including the formulation of strategy and providing direction across the functional activities.• Act as the “go to” Technical Lead for the IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services and providing technical expertise to support the Infrastructure Operations team.• Responsible for ensuring that the IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services adhere to the expected levels of cyber security.• Manage and shape the IT Infrastructure Operations Teams, helping to define the support model and the operational processes of any new services developed, as well as managing any escalations linked to them.• Part of the Major Incident Management team for all aspects of support related to the IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services.• Responsible for providing accurate reporting on the delivery of IT Infrastructure, and services across the full range of activity, both internally within the IT team and to the wider Speedy organisation• Ensuring the availability and performance of the IT Infrastructure and services meets the business needs whilst delivering within financial budgets.• Proactively propose, define, and manage plans to update and upgrade software and hardware across the estate on a regular basis.• Effectively managing the Infrastructure Operations team to maximise the potential of individuals within the function. This will include responsibilities for the development, recruitment, training, succession planning and management of resources required to deliver both on-going and improved services to the wider business organisation.• Support the development and delivery of Infrastructure Operations standards, policies and processes ensuring appropriate governance structures are in place to regulate compliance.• To manage the provision and maintenance of the company’s IT Infrastructure, cloud estate and supporting services ensuring the availability, information security and capability of those systems meet the business needs.• To support the IT Senior Leadership team in developing a technical vision on IT Infrastructure Operations by engaging with business units to develop strategic technical blueprints and reference architectures.• To support the development, implementation, and transition into production of the IT Velocity Vision and Strategy in relation to IT Operations projects.• Support the development of the IT Infrastructure, Operations and Cloud strategy across the enterprise; working with Architects and other IT Technical Delivery Teams to ensure applications, network security and telephony applications are consistently provided across the whole of Speedy.• Researching and introducing new technologies for all colleagues across Speedy.• Developing and revising statements of work with accurate cost and time estimates aligned to the overall delivery plan.• Excellent organisational skills to successfully coordinate the efforts of an IT department.• The ability to think strategically, anticipate future developments and provide technical vision.• Support the development of the product roadmap and technology strategy.• Ensure the technology is robust and scalable for future growth.What we offer:Monthly cash car allowance or company carDiscretionary bonus schemeHealth CoverLife assurancePension Scheme26 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Free onsite parking Canteen facilities95% discount across the Speedy brand.My Staff Shop: discounts and offers for shopping etc. across many suppliers.
