Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
As an Azure system administrator/engineer for Lookers you will be responsible for maintaining our estate in Microsoft Azure and Office 365 cloud infrastructure across the business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the cost effectiveness, optimisation, reliability, security and performance of their cloud environment. This role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career and drive the success of cloud solutions and Infrastructure.
Working a mixture of BAU and exciting projects, you'll need to be able to prioritise a busy workload and ensure clear and concise communications with a range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases.
• Produce Azure finance reporting and deliver target-based results in reducing Lookers cloud platform spend.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support and optimise cloud-based workload and applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform proactive maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
• Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for Azure and Office 365 administration.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure and Office 365 technologies and trends to make recommendations for improvements and optimisations.
• Providing 3rd line BAU support, investigating and resolving complex faults and liaising with other teams within the Infrastructure team.
• Proactively monitor and evaluate server issues, take ownership and resolve.
• Liaise with vendors and support companies as appropriate.
• Participate in root cause analysis for complex major incidents and escalated faults.
• Willingness to learn and document new services/products.

Qualifications
Proven experience in managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure and Office 365 cloud environments, alongside strong knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, Azure AD and Azure SQL. Experienced with Cloud environments and automation tools whilst holding a certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
