IT Infrastructure and Network Manager, a permanent career opportunity for a seasoned IT professional, someone who can evidence IT Line Management for a team of IT Administrators. Based in Swindon, this is a permanent, full-time office-based role offering an annual salary of £50,000 supported by an excellent employee benefits scheme.
Reporting to the Director of site operations, responsible for creating a strategic IT service plan for the site, providing a full and comprehensive IT service to internal/external users, responsible for holding all operational accountability for servers, infrastructure, and storage, carrying out updates, regular back-ups, and all maintenance. Ideally educated to Degree Level Computing (or similar), MCP Qualified in Office 365, this role requires a minimum of 5 years previous, relevant network maintenance, network security and IT Management employment experience. Proven knowledge is required with LAN and WLAN, including IP and subnetting.
As IT Infrastructure and Network Manager, you will manage the IT help desk, including all 1st , 2nd and 3rd line responses, supported by your IT administration team, you will devise and implement a planned and preventive maintenance schedule for the wider site and teams. Working with a range of suppliers to ensure delivery of parts and products are met, ensuring that software licences are correct and in date, consistently looking at new software and IT products that can add value to the business. Other duties include the monitoring of the site's CCTV system plus the computerised BMS system, all access terminals and points of entry including fire and evacuation points, working with relevant departments where necessary.
Naturally there are several operational responsibilities, however you are expected to understand and work with financial budgetary expectations, managing expenditure and ensuring value for money for the wider business. As Manager, there is an expectation to work with and manage a team of professional IT administrators, delivering necessary training and coaching to include staff performance reviews and appraisals.
