Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to lead our Corporate IT department and oversee the implementation of technology solutions in alignment with the company's objectives. The successful candidate will lead a team of 11 across UK, Malta & Romania reporting directly into the Head of IT. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and proven leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Lead IT initiatives to support business growth and scalability.
2. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of IT support engineers and Infrastructure engineers across three global offices.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Set clear goals and expectations and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
3. Service Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the IT support desk, and ensure all SLA’s are being met.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Good understanding and proven track record of incident and problem management.
- Act as a point of contact for user feedback and concerns, ensuring a positive user experience.
4. Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and networks.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
5. Project Management
- Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Collaborate with Head of IT and other key stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Manage resources, schedules, and budgets effectively.
6. Vendor Management
- Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with SLAs.
7. Risk Management
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT security.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment supporting 450+ staff across 3 global offices.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- In-depth technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure including cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Technical certifications are a plus.
