Overview: We are looking for an IT Apprentice to join our busy IT Team based in London. You will be giving technical support to internal customers and helping with all queries. You will be taking the calls, logging the issues and emailing the customers back with updates. You need to be excellent with customer service and prepared to go the extra mile to help solve issues. You will receive support and training from work colleagues but will also be supported and encouraged to research and solve problems independently.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of technical aspects of IT support, whilst developing your existing skills. Full training and support will be provided as part of the apprenticeship. Interpersonal, communication and personal work management skills are as important to this role as technical skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for all IT queries via telephone
- Provide 1st line support to staff via phone, email and MS Teams
- Log incoming calls and troubleshoot where possible
- Document procedures, information and resolutions to a high standard
- Configure and replace IT equipment such as Microsoft Windows PCs and laptops
- Resolve issues with mobile devices, particularly iOS
- Offer administrative support to the IT team
- Assist with desk telephone issues and configuration including softphones
- Maintain the IT Support company file structure
- Report to the IT Manager
- Arrange Hardware repairs and replacement
- Learn company software
- Test software and application integration in to our secure desktops
- Assist IT Support Engineer in testing of project work and roll out to the wider business including supporting documentation
- Install software onto PCs and laptops
- Arrange deliveries and collections of IT equipment to and from remote working staff
Required Skills/Qualities:

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm 37.5 hours per week with one hour for lunch
