Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice with ESS Modular, ESS Modular are lead provider of modular products in the UK and are looking for their next IT Specialist to develop the essential skills to operate within the IT team, and to flourish in this exciting opportunity.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network connectivity and availability.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement and maintain network monitoring tools for proactive identification and resolution of network issues.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of LAN/WAN connectivity, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Assist in the management of network security measures, including firewall configuration and monitoring.
- Provide technical support to end-users for computer networking-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT projects.
Qualifications:
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols.
- Experience with network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Splunk.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:
- Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
- Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.
