Role:
As a Support Engineer Apprentice, you will work in a fast-paced environment providing technical support to customers, assisting them with issues related to Office 365, Windows 10, and other hardware / software issues.
The role suits a bright and dedicated individual who is striving to become a professional IT Engineer.
Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to:]
- Logging customer tickets in company Intranet
- Liaise directly with customers, gather information, problem solve and escalate as necessary
- Password resets, new user creation and processing leavers
- Office 365 administration (new users, mail forwarding, etc)
- Application installs, configuration, support / training
- Laptop/PC Builds
- Occasionally support the field engineering team as required by assisting with onsite work
- Phone diverts on VoIP systems (Horizon)
- Contributing to Knowledge Bases and other departmental documentation
- Ensuring compliance to security protocols
Essential skills and Personal qualities:
- Confident telephone manner - demonstrating a friendly and positive attitude to our customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with good typing skills
- Have an interest and IT and technology
- Must be a great team player
- Eagerness to learn and develop, and have a desire to improve customer service
- Good organisational skills
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working pattern:
9:00am – 5:00pm / 37.5 hour working week
Salary range:
£14,500 - £15,000 per annum.

Future prospects:
