Our client in Newbury is seeking an ITrent Payroll Manager on a full time temporary basis for approximately 2 months. You will be required to effectively lead and manage the ITrent implementation as a payroll subject matter expert and payroll workstream lead, and to support the current payroll team through a period of change.
Please note - ITrent experience in payroll management and/implementation is essential for this role.
Job Purpose:
- To act as Payroll Manager for ITrent at the point of go live in February/March 2024 and manage the current payroll team to ensure payroll BAU is delivered on time and accurately.
- To ensure processes are updated through the project as deemed required and where opportunity is created to improve the customer approach and less administration.
- To update process guides for the team usage for ITrent and ensure the team are updated and are provided with adequate learning opportunities to ensure the successful implementation of ITrent.
- To lead on customer queries and messaging that impact on payroll for both the project and BAU.
- To work closely with the dedicated project teams, MHR and other consultants to meet the requirements of the project as payroll workstream lead
Experience:
- ITrent experience in payroll management and/implementation -Esssential
- Extensive experience working at management/team leader level Payroll. Experience of handling the end to end payroll function
- Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations/legislation - Anticipating and managing the implications for the Council with regard to new regulations/legislation. This should include forward planning, implementation, communication and ongoing management of the task
- Reviewing processes and procedure to ensure compliance
- Returns, reconciliations and submissions Review and verify information retained by Payroll in respect of employment details; Tax, National Insurance, Pensions schemes etc
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a related subject such as Finance or Payroll
- Professional Payroll Qualification (CIPP) level 5
- Membership of CIPP
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Professional Payroll Qualification (CIPP) level 7
