Position: Jigs and Tooling Development Engineer
Pay rate: £35.03 inside IR35.
location: Broughton, UK
Role Type: 1-year Contract with extension
Position: Hybrid (60% onsite & 40% at home)
IO Associates is seeking an experienced Jigs and Tooling Development Engineer, to work at the Broughton site for a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors.
Responsibilities
- You would be responsible for the implementation of major Jig and Tooling-related projects and deliverables to the operational teams, to the required H&S and Ergonomic standards, liaising with key stakeholders at all levels and managing suppliers to meet required time frames.
- Oversee the effective design, development, and modification of Jigs and Tools assets until final acceptance and delivery to the relevant Operations Manager.
- Link established industry technologies with R&D. Work together with R&D to combine the company's requirements and Industrial Vision
- Create and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets in accordance with specifications from Plant/FAL Quality Assurance, Operations, Health and Safety and Ergonomics, Manufacturing Engineering Process Engineers, and Maintenance Engineers.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment required.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Jigs and Tooling experience within a similar industry/ background
